I purchased your class on loose leash walking and today, for the first time, put a slip lead on my 22 month old golden retriever. She thrashed around and was very stressed. Any suggestions on how to condition her to the slip lead? I have had extensive surgery to repair my knee from her pulling on a walk so, I am desperate for this to work.

I have a Great Bernese who I believe is the perfect family dog. He is “aggressively affectionate” and absolutely adores children. He’s very snuggly and loves to play. He’s close to 100lbs and very hairy. He’s the GOOFIEST dog I’ve ever met 🥰

having owned both breeds, I agree totally with you, your content is the reason I dared to owner-train my first service dog and will be owner-training my second one too, and I am offering basic puppy obedience training for first-time owners, It's a bit of a slow start but I have faith.

Black Labs can make good guard dogs. Get one from a hunting line. They are Game. Will alert, guard and defend.

I've got a friend that told me crates were bad...I showed her a pomeranian who LOVED her crate..would sleep in it with no door...lol..I got that same pomeranian on video..I told her "bed time Gizzie", she walked over, opened the crate door himself, and walked right in & laid down ❣️

I own myself an entlebucher mountain dog and although the breed is quite rare they are great family dogs. The dogs bark does not match their size and shape. Entlebucher’s are exceptionally similar to beagles except stockier and colors like a Bernese. One thing that stands out about them is there very loud and deep bark resembling a dog 3 times bigger then them. At only 50 pounds the breed makes wonderful family dogs but when you don’t want intruders near by your property the entlebucher’s bark is bound to scare them off. 😅

What about if it's not giving him a toy but you need him to let you put his collar on our something else, and you can't without getting bitten. I've never seen a dog do this. I have a chaweenie, and I'm not scared of him. But i refuse to allow him to think he can bite me when u want him to do something. This is a sudden behavior change, he's only ayr old. But it's been a blood bath twice now, forcing him to calm down laying him on his back or whatever until he settles. But i know right now if i let him pull this on me just once without recourse, that would be it. There would be no end to it. My friends have never seen a dog do this either. You talk about socializing and that was all going great until he won't allow his collar to be put on. I can't have him around other people or dogs without being on a leash, i dint trust him. He never used to be this way we enjoyed walks, going places, all that fun dig and owner stuff. Now i feel like I'm in a ball and chain relationship with him. I love him so much and need help fixing this so badly. People laugh at me saying that tiny little thing can't be that ferocious. Till you look at my hand when he's decided we webby be putting his harness on. 😢

I have a 9 year old pittie male and a 10 year old female lab. I’ve been having some health issues recently so I don’t know if they are picking up on that and becoming more alert or what. Recently my pittie who has never had any problems before has started raising his hackles when we are on our walk toward this one male dog. The two are usually so excited for other dogs but when he sees this one he raises his hackles and puts his head down but his sister is still happy so I think she is assuring him that it’s okay. However what can I do for him to stop?? I try to avoid this man and his dog at all cost but it doesn’t always work. His dog is well behave and he listens to his owner. He makes his dog sit and waits for us to pass. But it’s so embarrassing because I know he thinks I can’t handle my dogs. Ughhh I’m going to be having another surgery soon so I’m just trying to walk them as much as I can but I also don’t want anything to happen PLEASE HELP
